Kerobokan, June 13, 2025 – In celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence, Philadelphia Sushi Bali hosted a lively and laughter-filled “17-an” games event. The celebration took place at the Philadelphia Sushi outlet and was attended by the entire team from both the Kerobokan and Jimbaran branches.

Carrying the spirit of togetherness, the games were inspired by classic Indonesian village competitions, but with a unique Philadelphia Sushi Bali twist. Five exciting challenges brought out friendly competition, laughter, and plenty of team spirit:

  • Hanging Sushi Roll Contest – Similar to the traditional “kerupuk” eating competition, but with hanging sushi rolls that had to be eaten without using hands.
  • Forehead Sushi Roll Challenge – Inspired by the “biscuit on the forehead” game, participants had to move a sushi roll from their forehead to their mouth without dropping it.
  • Sushi Tower Contest – Teams raced to build the tallest sushi tower without it toppling over.
  • Sushi Marble Race – Replacing spoons with chopsticks and marbles with mini sushi, this challenge tested participants’ balance and precision.
  • Chopstick Insertion Challenge – Competitors had to insert chopsticks into a designated target with both speed and accuracy.

The event became even more memorable with the special presence of Madam Anna, owner of Philadelphia Sushi Bali, who enthusiastically joined one of the games, adding to the fun and motivating the participants with her energy.

This celebration not only strengthened bonds within the Philadelphia Sushi Bali family but also reflected the company’s appreciation for its team, who are the heart and soul behind every dish served.
